CHILDHOOD & EARLY LIFE

Salah was given birth to on June 15, 1992, in Nagrig, Egypt. His parents were of middle-class social status. Salah was declared a failure in academics which was of huge concern to his parents. Salah focused on football after finding out he could not strike a balance between academics and football.

PERSONAL LIFE



Salah is known to be a Muslim. He got married to his wife, Maggi, on 17 December 2013, in his hometown, Nagrig, Egypt. Mohamed Salah and Magi's marriage was blessed with a beautiful daughter whom they named Makka. She named by The Muslim Holy City and site of the first revelation of the Quran, in Saudi Arabia.

CLUB CAREER


Salah began his senior career at the club where he was born, El Mokawloon in the Egyptian Premier League in 2010, immediately joined Basel for an undisclosed price. In Switzerland, he became a star when he won the league title in his debut season, winning the SAFP Golden Player Award in the process. Salah's performance later attracted the interest of Premier League club Chelsea, and he joined at a price of £ 11 million in 2014. However, he was rarely used in his debut season and was allowed to go on loan to Serie A clubs Fiorentina and Roma, with the latter, buying it permanently for € 15 million.

Following his consistent performance in Rome taking them to second place and a record total point for 2017, Salah returned to the Premier League to join Liverpool for a club record at the time, costing £ 36.9 million. During his second term in England, Salah adapted his game from a pure wing to a complete attacker and quickly became the team's focal point. He then broke the club record in his debut season, receiving the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 32 goals in 36 matches. He also became the first player to win 3 Premier League Players of the Month in the same season. His outstanding performance earned him many awards at the end of the 2017–18 season, including PFA Players' Player of the Year, Football Writers' Player of the Year and PFA Fans' Player of the Year. Incorrectly won third place for the 2018 Best FIFA Men's Player. In the following season, he finished as the Premier League joint-top goalscorer, and helped the club win the UEFA Champions League.
